An Answer to Prayer

My brother Jorge is the middle child. Then there's Ramiro, who graduates this year from High School. I can't tell you how many times I would go out for a morning run and end up in tears. I usually use that time to pray. While Jorge was in Iraq (for 18 long months) he was the first one I prayed for and our other soldiers as well. Seeing Jorge again was an answer to prayer...thank you Jesus for bringing back my brother! It's easy to overlook the answer to our prayers sometimes. The moment I saw Jorge sitting outside by the pool, smiling, laughing...alive...I hugged him and cried, but this time just tears of joy! Thank you Lord.

New Years in Florida!

On December 31st we flew out to Florida and got in just in time to celebrate New Years with our other half of the family. It was an exhausting day, but the kids did great once again. We made sure they could run around when they could and made going on three planes as fun as possible. When we got to Florida, they had a party going on outside by the pool. Quite different then how we spent our last New Years!
